Electra Health is pleased to offer exceptional osteopathic treatments to the downtown Vancouver community. Our osteopathic practitioners seek to restore the optimal functioning of your body through the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of various conditions.
Osteopathy is unique in its approach: because our Vancouver osteopaths see every system – digestive, digestive, endocrine, musculoskeletal, etc. – of the body as working together, when one method isn’t working well, it affects other parts of your body.
And so, what you see in your body (back pain, knee pain, TMJ, eczema, anxiety, etc.) is often a symptom of a more significant issue. Osteopaths identify your symptoms and then look for their root causes – acting as a treatment and prevention!
Our osteopathic practitioners are renowned in their field. Trained in France, they bring an unparalleled amount ofof experience, education and knowledge to the treatment room. With us, you can trust to receivehighly personalized care to get you feeling your best, fast.

In a first consultation, an Osteopathic Practitioner will compile a full case history of the patient’s symptoms, as well as information about their lifestyle and diet.
Osteopathic practitioners are trained to examine areas of the body using a highly developed sense of touch, called palpation, to determine conditions and identify the body’s points of weakness or excessive strain. Osteopathic Practitioners also observe the patient doing some simple movements to facilitate evaluation.
The patient will usually be asked to remove some of their clothing near the area of the body to be examined to allow postural assessment. If it would make you feel more comfortable, please bring a loose fitting top and shorts with you.
The Osteopathic practitioner will discuss the most appropriate treatment plan with the patient, estimating the likely number of sessions needed to treat the patient’s condition effectively (usually 4 – 6 treatments at weekly intervals but this can vary from patient to patient depending on to what degree the problem is chronic or acute). If the condition is unlikely to respond to Osteopathic treatment, the patient will be advised on how to seek further care.
Osteopathy is a ‘package’ of care that includes skilled mobilizing and manipulative techniques, reinforced by guidance on healthy lifestyle and exercise. The key to this is the aim of the Osteopathic practitioner to establish the sound patient-practitioner partnership necessary for ensuring quality care.

It was my first time ever receiving acupuncture due to a slight fear of needles and Jessie made me feel so comfortable, the whole time she walked me exactly through what she was doing and ensured I was at ease. I was so comfortable I was even okay with acupuncture on my face, which is something I never in a million years thought I could tolerate! I walked away from the appointment with no more shoulder tension and clear sinuses. Jessie is a miracle worker and I cannot recommend her enough.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Joanna WooOctober 16, 2024.Jessie is by far the best acupuncturist I've been treated by out of 8-9 different ones I've been to across Canada. She is extremely knowledgeable, one of the best communicators I've met (not just as an acupuncturist but in general), and a delight to be around. She is happy to accommodate and meet you at your comfort level, and adapts very quickly to your needs and preferences. My own experience with acupuncture has been between bad to okay in the last 10-12 years, but with Jessie, this is the first time I've experienced what it feels like to have a phenomenal acupuncturist as a health partner. I've had about 20 treatment sessions with Jessie and it's been the same quality of care since the very first session. Thanks Jessie!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Jose Mari GaluraOctober 14, 2024.Had a great experience from booking my appointment until the end of the session. Georgia from the front office is so informative and my RMT is Alexander Ledenev, he showed professionalism and knows what he is doing. Will definitely come back. In addition to my earlier review. l already had a couple of services done here and I can say that Elena (Hyun Joo) Lee is really great professionally on performing accupuncture. Explaining the procedure thoroughly, delivering the quality of service and health teaching. I will definitely come back for more sessions with her.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Rod MoshtagiOctober 12, 2024.I am blown away by the work I did with Simina (Physiotherapy) and Cole (Deep Tissue Massage) at Electra. I sought treatment because of persistent pain in my left wrist and I can happily say that after working with Simina and Cole, my wrist has fully recovered. I really appreciated that instead of just focusing on my wrist, Simina helped me understand how the body works as a whole system. She worked with me to release tensions throughout my central nervous system, particularly in my shoulders and back. With her guidance, I started a series of exercises to relax not only my wrist but my entire body. What I appreciated most was the way she focused on calming my nervous system during our sessions, which played a huge role in my healing process. Over time, my wrist pain decreased, my range of motion improved, and I was genuinely amazed by the progress. At the same time, I was working with Cole, who is an incredible deep tissue massage therapist (And DJ!). His ability to tune in to exactly what my body needed was remarkable. He helped release the deep-seated tensions that were contributing to my wrist issues, and this worked in tandem with the exercises I was doing with Simina. I always felt comfortable with Cole, and trusted his judgement on how he worked with my tight muscles. Overall, I cannot recommend Simina, Cole, and this clinic enough. This has been the best therapeutic treatment I have ever received.
