Your feet are the foundation of your body. If they are misaligned in any way, it sends a shock through your whole body’s alignment, causing symptoms and issues that you would have never even thought to associate with your feet in the first place!
Issues like back pain, knee pain, and hip pain are all commonly associated with misaligned feet. Luckily, orthotics offer a solution to these issues: they realign your feet to their optimal state.
While orthotics can certainly be useful in alleviating pain and discomfort in the feet, they need to be the precise, most exact fit and be properly designed in order to properly address the wide range of issues that misaligned feet can cause. That is why Electra Health’s custom orthotics program yields the best orthotics on the market.
Our orthotics program uses the newest technology in foot health right now, giving you a totally unique orthotic experience. Our practitioners use a combination of 3 different types of software when creating your orthotics to assess your foot, your gait, and your posture. This yields the most comprehensive picture of your foot and allows us to create the best orthotics for you!
The initial part of the process involves a series of assessments with our chiropractor. These assessments are included in the overall price and is covered under chiropractic care, for insurance purposes. It implements three of the newest technologies in foot health, which gives us the greatest understanding of your foot and the most precise orthotics for you!
The first step is a digitized 3D model of your foot. While traditional custom orthotics take a mold of your foot, our 3D scanner creates a fast, digitized 3D projection of the shape of your feet. This is significantly more accurate than the regular cast, so we can pick up problem areas in your feet that would have otherwise gone undetected! As well, the digitized system means that you can get your orthotics much quicker than it would normally take.
Then, our chiropractor runs you through our gait analysis software. What a gait scan does is capture your foot as you’re moving, giving us a dynamic picture and understanding of your foot. That is what makes a gait scan so essential in building orthotics: because a large portion of foot issues are actually not visible until the foot is in motion, the gait scan illuminates any problems that might have otherwise been missed by static molds.
From there, our chiropractor, Dr. Mann, will go over all the information delivered from your assessments, approves your assessment, and sends your orthotics off to be made!

There is no strict timeline for the life of orthotics; it is largely dependent on how often you use them and on the scope of the issues in your feet. Generally speaking, however, custom orthotics last anywhere from 3 – 5 years. If you experience an increase in pain or discomfort after having orthotics for a long time, it may be time to replace them.
This is largely dependent on the person. For some, orthotics provide instant relief from pain. For others, orthotics can cause some discomfort at first because your foot is adjusting to being and moving in the correct way. However, any pain and/or discomfort will subside as you adjust to your orthotics.
Almost anyone can benefit from orthotics as improperly supported feet are very common. Orthotics can also benefit anyone suffering from metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, bunions, hammer toes, bursitis, heel pain, hip pain, knee pain, high arches (cavus foot), flat feet (pes planus), fallen arches and more.
At Electra Health, we are so excited to provide you with the most innovative and accurate custom orthotics on the market. Using a combination of the newest technologies in foot health, our orthotics program gives us the most precise and clear picture of your feet, their movements, and the overall impact they have on your body, which in turn gives you a custom set of orthotics that are truly the best for your feet!
