Our CEO and founder, Mark Bentz on our PAARCC Program
The PAARCC program is unique to our clinic. The owner, Mark Bentz, designed this program specifically for clients with motor-vehicle related injuries after he went through his own recovery following two separate accidents. Throughout his experience, Mark realized very quickly that while a multidisciplinary approach to MVA-related injuries was imperative in recovery, there was no therapist in charge of his rehabilitation.
This resulted in many appointments with a variety of therapists, leaving him confused about which actions to take to help his recovery. Mark knew that there needed to be a better, more efficient method of therapy and rehab. So, in 2019, he invented the PAARCC Protocol.
The PAARCC program is our rehabilitation program for ICBC patients consisting of Physiotherapy, Active rehab, Acupuncture, Registered massage therapy, Chiropractic care and Counselling. But, what really sets the PAARCC program apart is that we match you with a Rehabilitation Team leader, who becomes your go-to throughout every phase of your recovery.
Our administrative team also supports you every step of the way: they handle all your claims and bill directly to ICBC, so you really are in the best hands! And the numbers speak for themselves: since this program has been implemented, we have had a huge amount of clients calling to switch over to our clinic to get started.
(Our ICBC Rehabilitation Program)
The PAARCC Program process
Our PAARCC program (our ICBC Rehabilitation program) is made up of three phases of rehabilitation. Before your first appointment, our administrative team takes care of all your paperwork, while your rehab team reviews your initial intake form. Your first appointment will be with your Team Lead — a kinesiologist. He or she will be the head of your rehab program and will be your main contact throughout your journey. From there, our kinesiologist assesses you and depending on your needs, connects you with either a physiotherapist, registered massage therapist, chiropractor or acupuncturist. At this point, you now have a ‘core team’ of two therapists – your kinesiologist and the other therapist. As you progress through our phases of your recovery, we will add or subtract additional therapies, depending on your needs. During the entire recovery process, your team meets twice a week to discuss your progress and treatments.
Once you approach the last phase of our program, you will begin active rehabilitation. This is an exercise program that is designed by your kinesiologist, who will be working closely with you to make sure that your body is adjusting. Phase 3 is designed to get you ready to resume an active and healthy life — it is important to remember that setbacks can be a normal aspect of recovery and we are here to support you and get you back on track.
Our administrative team and kinesiologist will also be handling all the administrative aspects of your recovery. They liaise with ICBC and handle the paperwork and billing, so that you can focus on getting better fast!
In order to get started with your appointments, you need to provide our reception team with your ICBC Claim number, your name and your date of birth. After that, we will contact your adjuster on your behalf and take care of the rest. And you can begin your recovery right away!
Our program is designed for you to have two 1-hour blocks of therapy per week.
No! ICBC automatically pre-approves you for treatments listed below, within 3 months of your accident date. Because your pre-approvals are dependent on your accident date, it is important that you get started right away!
**Please Note: ICBC massage therapy sessions are subject to co-pay for the pricing difference.
This depends on the severity of your injuries, your commitment to therapy, and the frequency of treatment. Our intentions are to have you feeling healthy and happy after 3 months of treatment.
No problem! If your recovery requires further treatments, your kinesiologist will submit an extension request to ICBC on your behalf. If this is the case, you may be required to send a doctor’s referral.
We provide direct billing to ICBC. There are no user fees and 100% coverage for the following modalities:
– Acupuncture
– Physiotherapy
– Chiropractic
– Kinesiology
– Occupational Therapy
– Counseling
There is a co-pay amount of $27.00 + GST for the following treatments:
– Registered Massage Therapy
We do not provide online bookings for these treatments so please call 604-685-4325 to book all your appointments.
Please call in at least 24 hours in advance if you need to move or cancel your appointment. All appointments that are either late cancellations or no-shows will need to be paid in full by the patient.
All subsequent treatments for Kinesiologist and Massage Therapy are 45 minutes, Acupuncture and Physiotherapy sessions are 30 minutes, and Chiropractic treatments are 15 minutes long.
No. ICBC will only approve one appointment of each modality per day.
This also applies if you’re planning to have another treatment of the same type in another clinic on the same day as your appointment with us.
Absolutely not, ICBC does not pay for no shows.
Yes, if you choose to pay out of pocket but we are not responsible if ICBC refuses to cover your claim.
If you have a referral from your doctor, then you should start there. If not, we have all our new ICBC clients start with a Kinesiologist for an initial assessment. You will then be assessed and additional therapies may be recommended. We treat a lot of ICBC clients and this treatment plan has been very helpful in optimizing care for your injuries.
We have specific therapists that focus on treating ICBC patients and these are the therapists we will book you with. Also, to optimize your care, we highly recommend staying with one therapist for a given profession.
Yes, you can but ICBC will not cover the additional fee for the additional time. If you choose to do this, you will need to pay out of pocket for the price difference.

Ven RalMarch 9, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I used to go to Electra Health for treatments by Elli, a marvellous experience lasting a couple of years. However, Elli moved to a different location. I consider myself fortunate twice over since I was lucky enough to sign for a massage by Igor. Well, I wouldn't call it simply a massage because it wouldn't done a justice to the all encompassing feeling of well-being. Igor's tremendous knowledge and experience is only one side of the story. He is professional and warm, polite and kind and in combination with his skills to treat your body with knowledge and respect you are guaranteed to feel like a new-born. My sincere thanks to Igor for making my back and my muscles feeling younger than my years. Diane NhanMarch 6, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had two RMT sessions (in summer 2024) with Alexander L to treat sciatica symptoms and am very grateful and relieved to have been under the caring hands of this professional. Alexander’s communication is very clear and calming, and I felt that he was attentive at all times. Highly recommend, thank you Alexander for the compassionate and effective treatment! UPDATE March 2025 - I was experiencing some recent back stiffness and decided to try an RMT appointment with Cole as I understand him to be a back and sciatica specialist. My session with Cole was unbelievably helpful and productive. Cole used his expertise to help me determine the likely causes of my recent symptoms and how to address them at home and on a daily basis. And his actual techniques in terms of the massage therapy were unlike anything I have previously experienced at any other clinic; I felt that Cole was truly targeting my body’s needs and not just running through a massage routine. I highly recommend both Cole and Alexander as RMTs and feel fortunate that both are available to clients in Vancouver. beatriz zabalaFebruary 27, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 800% recommendable! Impossible to get a better experience! J VFebruary 14, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cole was absolutely wonderful - he was able to explain how and why each technique worked, and really got into trouble spots to increase mobility and reduce pain. Crystal PreciousFebruary 13, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently had an acupuncture session with Jessie von Sacken and had to come make a point of leaving a review because I'm honestly astonished by the results. I've had acupuncture for my anger & perimenopausal symptoms before but I didn't get the sense that it was actually helping much. After this session, however, I had a notable sense of calm and well being, and for the next week leading up to my period, my symptoms seemed less intense than usual. It honestly just felt like the tense "stagnancy" of my body bracing itself had been coaxed to soften. I'll be back asap. VithushaFebruary 8, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Slava is a phenomenal massage therapist and he is well-versed. The experience was walked through all the way. He communicated the game plan, checked in on my comfort, and paid careful attention to my stiff points. I highly recommend booking with him, it will be worth the results! SheelzJanuary 31, 2025.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'm absolutely thrilled with my sessions under Alex L. (Sasha) care. Sasha quickly showed me simple stretching exercises as well for home use. I noticed a huge difference right after my second session. I never skip a session with Sasha —he's an amazing rehabilitator. Highly recommended!
