Liese was first drawn to the physiotherapy profession after being a patient herself of physiotherapy following two different sports injuries in her younger years. Liese saw firsthand the positive benefits that physiotherapy had on her recovery process and she knows firsthand what it is like to recover post-surgery from an injury. Liese believes the body has the ability to heal and is honoured to help others achieve their recovery.
Liese’s undergraduate degree from The University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Human Kinetics provided her with a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, sports medicine, sports training, and exercise prescription. In 2007 Liese completed her second degree at UBC, Master of Physical Therapy. Additionally, Liese has completed post-graduate work in manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques, myofascial release, movement pattern re-training, Pilates, sports-specific training, aquatic rehabilitation, postural biomechanics, core stability, and balance enhancement training.
